About Me
I am Lydia Thomson, a family and couples Psychotherapist with an MA in Systemic Psychotherapy from the Tavistock NHS trust and initial training in Psychoanalytic studies. I have 15 years experience of working in the mental health sector with adults, adolescents and families, within a clinical setting, in schools and for the youth offending service. I currently work in an Early Intervention service as joint Clinical lead. I am passionate about my work and compassionate, approachable and supportive. I have a lot of experience with teenagers, including parenting 3 of my own, and I love working with this age group, providing a safe, collaborative and non judgemental environment in which to explore difficulties. I am a member of UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy).
